If Disney doesn't cool it with these amazing trailers this month, I don't even know what. KEEP 'EM COMING! (My birthday month so far has been kind of ick and weird, so this is keeping me level. I'll blog about it later.)

For now---SQUEEEEE!

(and then possibly he might KISS me, and then it fuzzed out after that because I was like 10 years old, haha)

Not to mention I'll get to both begin and end the year on a Star Wars movie, just like I did last year. I am quite happy with this trend and I want it to continue.

YES, especially if they're all full of strong female characters like they have been! and hotties like Oscar Isaacs and Riz Ahmed, yum

OMG ME TOO. Han was dark and sexy and magnetic! but Luke was blonde and fluffy and so earnest. And I don't remember if my parents actually got me a lightsabre (probably not, LOL) but I remember sitting in the theatre watching that one fly into Rey's hands and just feeling like I had had an electric shock, and the tears jumped out of my eyes. ....I do think I had a stuffed Yoda, heh.

if Poe gets a little roughed up and rescued by Rey and/or Finn again I would so not complain

....no wait, that does spark a memory. I do think I had a plastic blue lightsaber and it went sort of whoooosh/WHOMMMM when you swung it around. And it glowed very faintly blue in the dark. And probably lasted all of a month.

Super excited for this! (Though I have a feeling I'm going to be a mess the first time Princess Leia/Carrie Fisher comes on screen.)

I'm glad Disney is being so ~mysterious about the plot; far too many trailers give away major plot details these days.

This year, I swear I'm going to rewatch the entire series before December, and I'm not sure how that's going to go. It's one thing getting to the OT and knowing how Han dies; it's a completely different animal knowing that Carrie Fisher is no longer with us.

The great thing about Star Wars is the fanbase is so built in and The Force Awakens was a huge success that it can get away with not showing that much. (Unlike "new" movies that have to entice audiences with "you'll never guess the twist ending" or amazing fight choreography or showing the best jokes of the movie.) But still, we do get a sense what The Last Jedi is going to be about, and yet it feels like so much of the plot is still under wraps.

Also: I see you Disney still not showing clear images of Luke and Leia. I see youuuuuuu.

I'm trying to figure out if I'll watch in release order or do the Machete Order. I'm leaning Machete Order since I've already seen the movies at least once. In that case--and providing I buy Rogue One by then--maybe RO should go between Revenge of the Sith and Return of the Jedi?

Though the guy who did the Machete brings up a good point that the Machete Order is to understand Luke's journey, and anything that comes out not related to Luke should be watched by itself. Here's his follow-up post.

Super late with this . . . BUT HOLY CARP THE EXCITEMENT! Is it December yet?!

All I want is a nice, long, shounen-anime-style training scene sequence. Please please please please please.
